    MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

    Position Summary: We are currently looking for an experienced industrial Maintenance Technician to join our growing team. This critical position will ensure that all industrial equipment and facilities are kept in excellent condition and will use blueprints, diagrams, manuals and written instructions to perform scheduled and preventative maintenance on key equipment and machinery. The successful candidate will be self-motivated and highly organized with experience providing machinery, equipment and facility maintenance in a fast-paced, multi-operation manufacturing environment.

    Responsibilities:

    • Performs highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and plant facilities.
    • Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
    • Performs mechanical repairs and troubleshooting to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic machinery as well as ongoing facility maintenance of aFe irrigation, drainage, HVAC, lighting and plumbing systems.
    • Coordinates fire and sprinkler inspections with city/county agencies and vendors, and retains associated documentation.
    • Maintains preventive maintenance schedule for plant machinery, and facility equipment and ensures that preventive maintenance is completed and documented; maintains preventive maintenance records.
    • Diagnoses problems, replaces or repairs parts, performs tests and adjusts as needed as part of preventive maintenance or troubleshooting of machinery or facilities equipment.
    • Complies with all established safety regulations, Lock/Out Tag/Out, and machine safety as well as adheres to all PPE requirements and reports any hazards to management immediately.
    • Operates forklift as required.
    • Maintains forklift maintenance records and logs; schedules forklifts for service as needed.
    • Communicates and works closely with Operators to maintain clear communication and understanding of the equipment status to enable an uninterrupted production schedule.
    • Participates in meetings regarding maintenance and/or improvement projects pertaining to equipment as needed.

    Requirements:

    • Advanced ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair a variety of production machinery and mechanical assemblies such as, but not limited to, benders, saws, end formers, sanders, notchers, pleaters, automated machinery and break presses.
    • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair simple to complex operating systems.
    • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of CNC controls, CNC repair (electrical/mechanical)
    • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of HVAC, lighting and plumbing systems, highly desired
    • Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs.

    CUSTOMER SERVICE AGENT

    Position Summary: The Customer Service Agent is responsible for providing a superior experience to aFe customers in a fast-paced call center environment. The Customer Service Agent provides information on aFe products and services, delivery ETAs and order status and enthusiastic support for aFe’s trade and end-user accounts.

    • Provides timely and accurate information to incoming customer calls for product and price inquiries as well as shipment status.

    SHOCK ASSEMBLY TECHNICIAN

    Position Summary: The Shock Assembly Technician will perform several tasks related to the production and assembly of shock absorbers and related components.

    Responsibilities:

    • Cleans and prepares parts and sub-assemblies for assembly of shocks.
    • Assembles components by placing parts in specified relationship to each other following the Bill of Materials for each assembly.
    • Bolts, clips, or otherwise fastens parts together during sub-assembly operation.

    MECHANICAL DESIGNER

    Position Summary: This position reports to the team manager and will work in a VERY fast-paced development environment.     JR. TECHNICIAN / FABRICATOR - INDUCTION

    Position Summary: Reporting to Induction Project Managers and shop leaders, the Jr. Technician / Fabricator-Induction will weld and build fixtures and perform installation and removal of factory and performance parts on a wide variety of vehicles.

    MIG/TIG WELDER

    Position Summary:  The Exhaust Production Department is looking to hire MIG/TIG Welders on 1st and 2nd shift! The MIG/TIG Welder will be skilled at welding thin gauge mild steel, stainless steel (409 & 304) and aluminum materials for the manufacture of automotive exhaust systems.

    Roles & Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

    • Reads and comprehends job work instruction “process sheets.”
    • Places parts in specified weld jigs
    • Welds components or assemblies using TIG and MIG welding per required specifications
    • Welds exhaust and/or header tubes and related fixtures.
    • Preform continuous inspection of welded/assembled products.

    • Monitors and report any fitment issues to supervision.

    FILTER PRODUCTION

    Position Summary: The Filter Production Department is looking for Filter Production Associates for both 1st and 2nd shift! The Filter Production Associate operates a variety of manual and automated manufacturing machinery and shop tools such as pleaters, cutters/clippers, shop saws and automated filter carousel to support aFe’s filter production operations and will also perform sub-assembly and product inspection.

    Roles & Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

    • Operates automatic pleating machine by loading raw material filter medium, utilizing machine controls to commence pleating and unloading pleated filter media.
    • Operates shop saw to cut filter material to specified width and length
    • Uses tools such as to clip filter medium to form filter shape per documented specifications.
    • Uses dispensing guns to add urethane to create filter tops and bottoms for oiled filters.
    • Loads, positions, and unloads automated filter carousel with filters for processing.
    • Uses trim tools to trim excess flash from completed part.
    • Inspects completed filter for defects and quality based on specifications.
    • Assembles and packages filters using packaging material per specifications.
    • Communicates machine issues and/or manufacturing process issues to management.
    • Follows all safety procedures and regulations.
    • Maintains a clean and clutter free workstation.

    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Requirements:

    • Ability to comprehend and follow simple written and verbal instructions and procedures.

    R&D TECHNICIAN - EXHAUST DEVELOPMENT

    Position Summary: The Exhaust Development team is currently looking for experienced automotive R&D Technicians! Reporting to project leaders, this position performs vehicle maintenance and repair, fitment testing, fabrication/MIG welding, installs and documentation in support of product development from initial concept through production, as assigned.

    Essential Functions (other duties may be assigned):

    • Provides mechanical support to project leaders and design engineers on assigned projects.
    • Completes assigned task lists and assignments according to established schedules.
    • Installs and troubleshoots product fitment, and troubleshoots, adjusts and repairs issues on a variety of makes and models of cars and light duty trucks.
    • Performs vehicle testing and sound assessments for prototype exhaust products and completes associated documentation.
    • Performs market research on assigned products and develops knowledge of latest developments in design and innovation.
    • Attends exhaust team meetings, provides status updates on current projects.

    MATERIAL HANDLER

    Position Summary: The Materials Group is looking for an experience Material Handler to join the team on 1st shift. The Material Handler performs material handling and material movement activities and is responsible for accurate put-away and distribution of raw materials, throughout the plant in support of production.

    • Performs basic material handling activities: unloading trucks, dollies, carts; put away and distribution of raw materials from inventory location.

    TECHNICAL SUPPORT REPRESENTATIVE

    Position Summary: The Technical Support Representative responds to incoming customer inquiries of a technical nature that come in via email and phone and provides prompt troubleshooting assistance on a variety of technical questions and issues related to aFe products and applications. This position is responsible for escalating technical product issues per established procedures to internal departments for resolution and will follow-up with the customer to ensure a superior customer experience.

    Essential Functions, Roles and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

    • Troubleshoots technical product issues and questions as they come in from email or telephone and ticketing system.
    • Analyzes and escalates customer inquiries that require additional assessment and works with internal departments such as Sales, Shipping, and Engineering towards a satisfactory resolution.
    • Ensures follow-up and communication with customers on pending issues and resolution timelines.
    • Updates customer/account information in internal systems as needed.
    • Navigates business operating system to provide stock status, order status, ETA, tracking numbers, prices, and alternative choices to customers, as required.
    • Attends product training to stay informed on new product releases, and technical product information.
    • Maintains a clean and organized workspace and follows all safety procedures and processes.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Superior customer service and client focus.
    • Advanced automotive knowledge, and mechanical aptitude.
    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy; exceptional data entry skills with intolerance for errors.
    • Clear, concise and professional verbal and written communications.
    • Ability to build trust and relationships.
    • Superior critical thinking skills to promptly assess, prioritize, escalate and resolve issues.
    • Advanced familiarity with MS Office Suite, and business operating systems; computer literacy required.

    Education and/or Experience:

    • High School Diploma/GED required, and Associates Degree with 6 months’ minimum experience in a technical support position in an automotive retail environment (counter sales), or in-bound call center preferred, or relevant combination of education and experience.

    Hours: 7am – 4pm, Monday - Friday
